17 months

17 months have passed since our little bundle of joy has joined us in our couplehood. We have lesser couple time and more responsibilities shared.

So how has she been? Well, I must say she is growing very well. I guessed it's because of her interactions with Chloe and Charis. She loves playing with toys. Yes! She finally knows how to play with them and not just throw them around. Whenever she sees toys, she will go to them, sit down and starts playing, regardless the people around are familiar faces or not.

I brought her to My World@Sims to check out the environment. She walked in and just sat with all the K2 gor gors and jiejies and started playing with their toys! Brought her to the nursery in church, she also went to the toys happily and played.

And as long as she's playing with a jiejie, she's happy!

Other than that, I noticed she really enjoys sitting in a car. Maybe we had exposed her to it too often. Here's the car at NTUC FINEST@Kallang Wave Mall.

And the one in church.

And she can be quite possessive when it comes to cars. She charged at the sight of it and rushed to get into the car. After she got in, she refused to come out. I guessed I should have gotten one for her.

She loves this type of rides too. It's parked right outside mum's house and she always points to it and wants to sit in it.

And this... She got on it when we went to ToyRUs to look for Elmo.

I'm still struggling within myself to wanna get one for her. I don't want it to become a white elephant in the house.

Besides the love of cars, this pretty little one has been learning to sing and dance along with the songs she hears from YouTube everyday. I'm pretty happy and thank God for her progress in speech. I think she's pronouncing the words pretty well. That's how I learned my words in the past - through singing pop songs.

I pray that our girl will stop throwing tantrums especially during meal times. It has not been easy eating out with her these days. She's more fussy with food and loves to drink cold sourish drinks. I am hoping her daddy will not offer her drinks before the meal, but he himself does the same. And everything she whines for, she gets it. It's really not easy being parents.

Therefore, dear Father, please give us wisdom and grace to bring up this gift that You have given us. We want her to grow up in Your ways with manners and the love of God. But first, I know, we need to exemplify these behaviors for her to follow. Help us be the best role model for her. Protect her and continue to keep her safe and healthy! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!

Happy 17th Months, Rachael!
